The KVM console provides direct access to your server regardless of network or firewall configurations. Even if network connectivity is disrupted, you can still access and manage your server.
Prerequisites
  • A VPS with OnetSolutions
  • An OnetSolutions account
  • Google Chrome browser (recommended)

When to Use the KVM Console

Use the KVM console to:
  • Diagnose network connectivity issues
  • Access a server with misconfigured firewall
  • View boot messages and system logs
  • Troubleshoot unresponsive servers
  • Check server status before opening a support ticket

Opening the KVM Console

Access VPS Management

Log in to your OnetSolutions customer area, go to “My Services”, and open your VPS management interface.

Navigate to KVM Console

Go to the “KVM Console” section.

Open console

Click “Open the KVM Console” button.

Use the console

The console will open in your browser. You can interact with your VPS as if you were physically connected to it.
The KVM console session is valid for 30 minutes. You can close it anytime by clicking “Close KVM console”.

Troubleshooting

  • Ensure you’re using Google Chrome
  • Disable popup blockers for the OnetSolutions domain
  • Clear your browser cache and try again
  • Click inside the console window to focus it
  • Try using the on-screen keyboard option if available
  • Check that your browser has focus on the console tab
